July 2026 · Dublin, Ireland

In only its second year, Prima Donna ballet school took part in the Dance World Cup finals for the first time. Sofia Pezhgorski, Hana Pampulova, Natalia Santos and Nikol Nikolaeva represented the school and Bulgaria in Dublin.

The competition brought two medals and five further top-ten placings:

  • 2nd place — small group, classical ballet repertoire, Children.
  • 3rd place — Hana Pampulova, character dance solo, Mini.
  • 6th place — small group, classical ballet repertoire, Children.
  • 7th place — Natalia Santos, lyrical solo, Children.
  • 8th place — Sofia Pezhgorski, classical ballet repertoire solo, Mini.
  • 9th place — small group, lyrical, Children.
  • 9th place — Natalia Santos, classical ballet repertoire solo, Children.

The season also marked the launch of our intensive training programme, with more than 40 hours of classes a month. It brings together classical ballet and repertoire, modern dance and jazz, conditioning and acting. The results in Dublin were an important outcome of this combined work.

Alongside the competition, the girls attended masterclasses with Jocelyn Chung, Jo Morris, Juliano Alcantara, Cris Penfold, Kristina Grigorova, Piotr Nardelli, Han Li and Rebecca Davies. Working with different teachers complemented their stage experience with new knowledge and inspiration.

We thank our entire teaching team for the students’ technical, physical and artistic preparation, their families for their support, and the organisers for the opportunity to take part in this international event.

We are proud of our girls — of their achievements, perseverance and courage in presenting their work on the world stage.
