For a teacher, the most treasured memories often involve watching students grow. For Donna Dimitrova, four years of working with Sofi hold many such moments, from her first visit to the ballet studio at the age of six to her performances and achievements as a ten-year-old ballerina.
Behind them lie hours of preparation, first steps on stage, competitions, joy and difficulties. Trust between student and teacher develops gradually: recognising when a child needs correction, encouragement or a little more confidence in her own abilities.
A new chapter now begins for Sofi. We send her on her way with gratitude for our years together and the wish that she keeps her curiosity, perseverance and love of ballet.
“There may come a time when you are no longer the teacher beside a child every day, but that does not mean you stop believing in her.” — Donna Dimitrova
