Grand Prix, a teaching award and a talent award at “Tarnovska Tsaritsa 2026”

Prima Donna ballet school returned from “Tarnovska Tsaritsa 2026” with the Grand Prix for classical ballet, the Best Teacher award for Donna Dimitrova, and a talent award with a crown for Natalia Santos.

All six of our group performances won first places:

• “Imagine” — lyrical, Mini group.
• “Candyman” — jazz, Mini group.
• “Cupids” — classical ballet, Kids group.
• “Pizzicato” — classical ballet, Mini group.
• “Russian Dance” — character dance, Mini group.
• “Hungarian Dance” — character dance, Kids trio.

Individual awards:

• Sofia Pezhgorski — 1st place in classical ballet, 2nd place in contemporary dance and 3rd places in jazz and improvisation, Mini category.
• Natalia Santos — 1st place in classical ballet and 2nd places in contemporary dance, lyrical and improvisation, Kids category, as well as the special talent award.
• Hana Pampulova — 1st place in character dance, 2nd place in jazz and 3rd place in classical ballet, Mini category.
• Nikol Nikolaeva — 3rd place in improvisation.

For Donna Dimitrova, the competition also had personal significance: her former teachers Elitsa Lukanova and Riolina Topalova were among the jury members. The opportunity to present her students’ work to them for a second consecutive year made the recognition particularly meaningful.

We thank the organisers and our fellow schools for the atmosphere of mutual support that made the competition a shared celebration of dance.
