First steps into the world of ballet
Baby Ballet introduces young children to ballet through music, play and imagination. Classes combine their first dance movements with exercises for coordination, rhythm and spatial awareness.
With patience and care, we help children feel comfortable in the studio, join group activities and gradually build confidence.
What classes are like
Lessons include playful exercises, accessible ballet movements and short combinations. Images, stories and musical tasks teach children to listen, observe and recreate movement. They gradually become familiar with the structure of a ballet lesson and the first rules of working in a group.
What we develop
- Coordination and balance.
- A sense of rhythm and response to music.
- Spatial awareness.
- Attention and the ability to follow short instructions.
- Imagination, expression and confidence.
First studio habits
Children are introduced to ballet culture — uniform, neatly tied hair and being ready for class. They learn to wait for their turn, listen to the teachers and work considerately with others.
Trial class
No previous dance experience is required. A trial class allows the child to meet the teachers and group and become familiar with the studio.
