A strong foundation and steady progress
Kids Ballet is for children who want to study classical ballet and develop their dance skills. It welcomes both improvers and students with previous experience, following an assessment of their level.
We work on correct execution and understanding of movement while gradually increasing the technical demands. Students are encouraged to be consistent, attentive to detail and proud of their progress.
What classes are like
Training follows the principles of the Agrippina Vaganova method. Lessons include classical barre and centre work, preparation for jumps and turns, exercises for strength, stability and flexibility, and suitable choreography.
What we develop
- Correct placement and classical ballet technique.
- Coordination, balance and control.
- Strength, stability and flexibility.
- Musicality, concentration and movement memory.
- Artistry, stage presence and responsibility.
Training for each level
Beginners focus on basic positions and movements. More experienced children work towards greater precision, coordination and confidence. When students show progress and commitment, we discuss additional training and progression to Advanced.
Stage opportunities
Students may participate in concerts and suitable stage appearances. Repertoire is selected according to their preparation and readiness.
Trial class
Previous experience is not required. During the trial class, we assess the child's level and advise whether the group is suitable.
